The UE Wonderboom speaker has been at the top of our list since its debut and for good reason. The rugged, versatile design can withstand harsh conditions while delivering loud sounds that are clear even in water! Pair it up with other wonder booms to fill your whole pool or beach party space – you won’t regret giving this awesome little device another chance when all other speakers fold under pressure.
When it comes to sound, you can’t go wrong with Ultimate Ears. The Wonderboom 2 boasts a number of upgrades that make this speaker even better than its predecessor such as increased battery life (30%), improved bass response, and Outdoor Boost feature which helps the device get louder in areas where there’s little ambient noise.
UE’s Wonderboom 2 is a great waterproof speaker that not only makes it to the list of best in this category but also sits comfortably as one with notable capabilities. The upgrades made by these manufacturers have helped make minor changes which result in an improved product overall-and we’re talking about something capable enough for any occasion.
Price
Wonderboom is available to buy in the US, UK, and Australia for a reasonable price of $99.99 (£89 or AU$129) which is less than its original costs according to company officials. You can still get your hands on this speaker while stocks last but they’ll be discounted compared with other prices so watch out.
Design
The Wonderboom 2 is a stylish and affordable speaker that will have you feeling like an instant celebrity with its bright colors. The new design features of this product make it even more appealing to consumers, who are looking for something different in their home audio setup without breaking bank accounts or living rooms apart.
The speaker has a built-in mic and buttons for power. On the front, there are volume control keys as well as Outdoor Boost which allows you to hear your music louder even when exposed to noisy environments! The membrane-type feeling of these touchy presses makes them water-resistant so no more worries about wet clothes damaging delicate electronics on vacation or at work (unless someone spills something directly onto it).
The back of the speaker features a plastic door that seals up its micro USB charging port. In 2019, we would expect speakers like these to come with USB-C compatibility but they’re still using old standards in some aspects! It’s not really anything major either as long as you have an adaptor or two around for when necessary (though it could become more problematic than before if Ultimate Ears doesn’t update their design).

Perfomance
The UE Wonderboom 2 packs a punch for its size. With Outdoor Boost enabled, this speaker can play much louder than what you would expect from an airport-sized device and the sound quality remains clear even at higher volumes where some other speakers begin distortion or noiseeping inwards on delicate instruments like piano solos due to their small sizes (and lack thereof).
The Wonderboom’s sound quality takes a noticeable dip when listening to lower volumes. With Outdoor Boost enabled at medium volume, cymbals are splashy and mids are more prominent – which can be either good or bad depending on your preference; but there is slightly more bass than the original device itself that helps bring some warmth while not compromising highs/mids.
We all love to enjoy our favorite music with friends and family, but how many of us have had that one friend who keeps their phone in the bathroom so they can’t hear us? Well, now there’s no need for secrecy because this speaker has got them covered. With 360 degree sound thanks to its wraparound grille which means wherever your heart desires; whether by poolside or beachfront you’ll be able to create unforgettable moments thanks to its IP67 rating.
The new Wonderboom 2 has a better soundstage than its predecessor, but it’s still not as good. Ultimate Ears added the ability to play in true stereo if you pair another one of these speakers together whereas before they could only link up temporarily for louder volumes and boost volume – which isn’t really an issue since most people will be using headphones or good quality external audio devices anyway.
The Wonderboom 2 is rated IP67, which means it can take a beating even if you’re at the pool. The speaker has also been tested to survive being dropped repeatedly from 5 feet high onto smooth surfaces.
The battery life on the new Wonderboom 2 is longer than its predecessor, with up to 13 hours of continuous playtime when set at medium or low volume. If you want your music all loud though expect it will only last around 10-12 in total after taking into account the Outdoor Boost function which turns this device into an outdoor speaker (and cuts audio quality).
